Coolest mom alert!

My mom has the coolest and one of the most important jobs on the planet.

She is the Children's Director of our church... aka she teaches children about Jesus.

Not only is her job super cool and important, but she is INCREDIBLE at it. No one else I know can get a room full of Preschooler-3rd graders do crazy dances and learn a bunch of silly things. I went to AWANA with her tonight and for all of those who know what AWANA is, take what you know about it and throw it out the window because AWANA with my mom running it is probably the best thing I have ever seen.

My mom is the best. No doubt about it.

I can't wait for VBS where she truly shines.

I got to hang out with my new cousin today and let me tell you... he is SO stinkin' cute. Can't even handle it. He and CJ are like two peas in a pod running through the sprinklers and sitting in the wagon on the way to pick up Jack from school.

Smarty Farty

My little sister is not only pretty, funny, sweet, kind, and a good baker, but she is also super, duper smart (go figure, right? How did she get all the good genes?)

Tonight we went to her awards ceremony where she was honored for "Most Outstanding Student in AP Calculus AB," "Most Outstanding Student in Honors Art," ASB (Associated Student Body/Student council... she is takin' after her older sister and is taking on the role of Student Body President next year), and National Honors Society.

She's smart... whateves.

So, I am home.

I have to say, it already is pretty nice. But as everything in life, good things come at a cost. This week proved to be quite the emotional week for me. No only was it finals week, but 3 of my best friends left me. Esther, who you are all quite acquainted with, and Kelly and Kim my roommates. I really don't usually cry at goodbyes, but boy oh boy was I a mess this week. My phrase for the week was "I am just a little tender." I often pulled out the line, "DON'T touch me" aka, one touch and Niagara Falls started a'flowin. 

Besides the ones that left me, I had to say goodbye to a lot of people I wouldn't be seeing until December, some even May!

Needless to say, the tears were justifiable.

The good thing I gained though was family. I came home to a full house including my new cousin Kirubel, aka, Kirby, after a 4-hour car ride of me belting to "Jesus music" as my friends call it :)

I feel very filled and blessed today. Really appreciating the people in my life and the Savior that I have.
