Briana Jones... you have made it. You have arrived. Hehehe

It was a beautiful day today :)

We, meaning Briana, Blake and I, ventured off to the Padres game where they played the Dodgers. We graciously sat next to a few Dodgers fans. I know, I know, pretty nice of us. But I mean, I am practically brothers with three of them, I was able to let it slide. 

AND THE PADRES WON!!! Quite the shocker... playing probably the best team in the league... and let's be real, the Padres, well I hate to say it, but they ain't that good (I really just go to the games for the food and the yelling).

Needless to say, it was a fantastic day. Seriously. So much fun. What's not to love about America's greatest pastime!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Day

Someones status on facebook today was that it was "Chocolate Chip Cookie Day."

I did not question it. I dove right into the celebration and lured my little sister into it by telling her she would be on my blog (I don't know why that worked haha but I am happy it did!)

So to share with you all here is our chocolate chip cookie recipe... It's basically the same as the one on the back of the Toll House Chocolate Chip bag, but we like to think it's a bit different :)

Also, I will be posting a bit about the weekend tomorrow. I got a little sick and was not really up to posting much (sorry Heidi!)

INGREDIENTS

2 ¼ CUPS FLOUR

1 tsp BAKING SODA

1 tsp SALT

1 CUP… 2 STICKS… BUTTER

¾ CUP GRANULATED SUGAR

¾ CUP BROWN SUGAR PACKED TIGHTLY

1 tsp VANILLA

2 LARGE EGGS

1-2 CUPS CHOCOLATE CHIPS

INSTRUCTIONS

1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES

2. IN ONE BOWL, MIX FLOUR, BAKING SODA AND SALT

3. IN ANOTHER BOWL, MIX BUTTER, GRANULATED SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR, AND VANILLA.

4. THEN ADD ONE EGG AT A TIME TO THE BUTTER/SUGAR MIXTURE

5. SLOWLY ADD THE FLOUR MIXTURE

6. ADD CHOCOLATE CHIPS

8. BAKE FOR 9-11 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN

9. ENJOY

10. ALSO, BE SURE TO HAVE A BLAST MAKING THEM

80s Pop Pandora.

Today has been a day of cleaning. Cleaning out, cleaning up, cleaning off. Cleaning. 

The only thing that can really get me to clean is 80s Pop Pandora... especial when my main man MJ pops up with a jam like the one below.

Tomorrow my older sister, Heidi, graduates college!!! It's so different from when your friends graduate because with my sister, I feel the age difference. I am always two years behind her (Lord willing haha). But really. When my friends graduated, I was super stoked for them and it was just a regular ol' party, but when Heidi graduates... first off, I am SO proud and excited for her, but second off, my graduation seems so much closer. Crazy stuff man.

Anyways, I am so proud of my seeeeester Heidi. So stinking proud. I brag all the time about how my sister is graduating from USC with a degree in Film.

Did I mention her FILM degree was from the USC FILM SCHOOL!!! No big deal. Just one of the most acclaimed film schools ever. Can't wait Heid-sty!

Coolest mom alert!

My mom has the coolest and one of the most important jobs on the planet.

She is the Children's Director of our church... aka she teaches children about Jesus.

Not only is her job super cool and important, but she is INCREDIBLE at it. No one else I know can get a room full of Preschooler-3rd graders do crazy dances and learn a bunch of silly things. I went to AWANA with her tonight and for all of those who know what AWANA is, take what you know about it and throw it out the window because AWANA with my mom running it is probably the best thing I have ever seen.

My mom is the best. No doubt about it.

I can't wait for VBS where she truly shines.
