Tea Time!

Yet again, SO blessed by today. Nothing is better than waking up to the sound of a tea kettle whistling and my sweet Esther saying "Let's read about Jesus." We decided to go through Job and Philippians which has so far been SO GOOD!!!

Passage of the day comes from the end of the first chapter of Job (1:20-21) where ALL of Job's physical treasures had just been taken away from him and this is what he does:

"At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. 

Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:

   'Naked I came from my mother’s womb, 

   and naked I will depart.

The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; 

   may the name of the LORD be praised.'”

Goodness. What a man of faith. That is the most beautiful thing to see. In complete desperation, he turns to the only One he knows can do anything about it. It's not about the things we gain in this world. I hope to live a life like Job, faithful and trusting in God.
