The man "gearing" up to be my Valentine.

Mr. Royal
Mr. Royal on the way to the doctor's office.
Before I tell you about Mr. Royal, I wanted to remind you to KEEP UP THOSE SUGGESTIONS for a new name for my blog!!! Remember you have until February 29th, but no idea is a bad idea and the more I have to chose from the better so bring 'em on!

Moving on.

This is Mr. Royal, a.k.a. my Valentine. It was a sad day when I had to drop him off at the doctor's office because it would mean we would have to be apart from each other on Valentine's day.

BUT HAVE NO FEAR! The nice old man who is fixing up his gears (probably one of the last of his trade) said he might be "just as new" by tomorrow!!! Oh what a lovely day that would be!

Anyways, keep Mr. Royal in your thoughts as he goes into "line lock surgery." Apparently it's a rough procedure.

Also, you better get ready for a decked out Valentine's post! My mom may or may not have sent me TATOO VALENTINES!!! Yah, she rocks. Go mom.

And just a little note from yesterday's message at Reality and on the theme of Valentine's day: be purposeful in loving each other.

1 John 4:7-12
"Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us."

He loves us NOT because of what we do, but because of who HE is. So love like HE does.

I challenge you to keep in mind the spirit of Valentine's day is not just about your specific Valentine. Widen that focus to all who you come into contact with and learn to say "I appreciate you" and to commend, rejoice, love, and pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ (and anyone you see!!!)
